A defective pressure sensor is common in vehicles with the ATE MK60 ABS pump. To diagnose a faulty sensor, you must connect the vehicle's diagnostic port using professional diagnostic equipment that can communicate with the vehicle's ABS system. Once you have established communication with the ABS system, you should check for any stored fault codes. If you have a stored fault code for 'brake pressure sensor faulty' or similar try clearing the code first, if it does not clear or returns after clearing then check the live data stream with your diagnostic equipment. If the measurement shows the maximum value consistently, even without pressure on the pedal, then this is a clear indication that your internal brake pressure sensor is defective.

To solve the problem, the entire ABS pump would have to be replaced. A brand new unit from the manufacturer is very expensive, requires programming to the vehicle (adding additional labor costs) and comes with only a 1 year warranty.

Fortunately, there is a solution for this; we are able to convert your own unit for a small fraction of the price of a brand new unit and offer a 5 year warranty.

We repair the devices on the day of arrival. You can of course also come by for an EMERGENCY REPAIR. Ready while you wait! Don't forget to contact us in advance.

We also stock reconditioned units (where available) which are much cheaper than a new unit from the dealer. These also come with a 5-year warranty as standard.
