Repair 9G-Tronic (725.011)
Mercedes with the new 9G-Tronic 725.011 Automatic Transmission
As the name suggests, this is a 9-speed automatic transmission. The 9G-Tronic transmission was installed in the Mercedes E-Class W212, W213 and also in the C-Class W205. As with the previous 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, this one also features electro-hydraulic operation. The electrohydraulic control consists of a control unit, a switching slide box and the associated switching solenoid valves. On the control unit, which displays a Bosch logo, there is the pressure sensor Y3/8b5, which measures the existing pressure and transmits it to the associated solenoid valve. A malfunction of this sensor can be interpreted as the error P07B700 pressure sensor, signal not plausible or P073E00 reverse gear signal is defective. This problem usually occurs when shifting from neutral to forward gear. The gear is not accepted and you end up in neutral gear again. The described errors such as P07B700 and P073E00 are the most common errors that can occur.
